Friendship and Caring Trust (F.A.C.T. Ltd) is a voluntary non profit making organization with charitable status.
There are 13 board directors; with sub committees to the Board – including Caring and Finance. They are governed by the Memorandum and Articles of F.A.C.T. Charitable Company limited by guarantee. F.A.C.T. Directors employ professional staff who look after the day to day management of Barnlee and Lee Cottage.
The Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority (RQIA) is Northern Ireland’s independent health and social care regulator and registration body who inspect Barnlee and Lee Cottage on a regular basis.
All employees, Directors and Committee members are Protection Of Vulnerable Adults (POVA) checked.
F.A.C.T. was established in 1990 by a group of committed people, friends and parents of people with a learning disability. This initial group of people were drawn from Lisnaskea and the surrounding towns in South East Fermanagh – Derrylin, Newtownbutler, Roslea and Fivemiletown with the aim to provide residential accommodation in the area.
The concept – a “Home from Home” was the goal identified by this group.
